1. Do I need to speak Dutch to live in the Netherlands?
Although it is always useful to speak the local language, in the Netherlands you can easily live only speaking English. Everyone will understand you and talk to you in English if you ask them to, no matter their age. (But if you do want to learn a quick Dutch starter lesson, we will soon provide a package for internationals)
2. Can I get a scholarship for my studies?
In the Netherlands, it is more common to get governmental funds than specific scholarships from the university. However, you will be happy to know that it has been established in the past year that university students only pay 50% of their tuition in the first year. 3. Is it possible to work without speaking Dutch?
The Netherlands is a very international country. Everybody speaks English. Therefore, it is possible to find a student job easily without speaking Dutch. To know more, look up the vacancies section on our website: start working.
4. Do I need to create a Dutch phone number?
It is not necessary for your stay, but it depends on your phone company and if your plan works abroad and for how long.
5. How do I send a mail to the dutch government?
For formal documents, you only need to get an envelope and then you will be able to send It from any post.nl point without any extra cost (You do not even need a stamp).
